Amy taught grades K-5 for 24 years in the Palmdale and Lancaster School District. She worked as a district Reading First Content Expert/Coach Coordinator for 8 years and then worked as a site instructional coach and intervention teacher for 7 years. She has a National Board certification in early childhood, a multiple subject credential, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Reading Specialist credential from UCLA. She worked for LACOE briefly coordinating SB462 classes in 2008. Amy was the Lancaster School District Teacher of the Year in 2021.

Learn about the lifecycle of a butterfly through viewing a video and a read aloud of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.” Finger movements, a watercolor project, and acting out the stages through dramatic play will engage and enhance learning.
